KNOW WHATS GOING ON
OUR OCEANS
Our oceans give us about 75% of the Oxygen we use. This is because oceans are filled with algae, plankton, and other photosynthetic plants.
Unfortunately, due to oil spill, global warming, overfishing and other human activities, this oceanic plant life is dying at a rapid rate. To be blunt, if the plant life in the ocean continues to die like this... it may be our demise.
TIGRAY
FAMINE & GENOCIDE
Tigray is a region in East Africa neighbored by Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia and Djibouti. Tigray has been turned into a war zone since Nov. 2020. Conflict between the Ethiopian Government and militias has devastated this region. Traumatizing civilians who have been trapped with out aid. The Patriarch of Ethiopias Orthodox Church claims that there is a genocide taking place on the people of the northern region of Tigray.
I asked my friend for his take on the situation since he has lots of family in Ethiopia and is well aware of what is going on. He said "The current government of Ethiopia under Abiy Ahmed and the current government of Eritrea under Isaias Afeworki are directly responsible for the current atrocities committed in the region of Tigray and its people. They make claims that it is a ‘law and order’ operation to abolish the TPLF party - a party that the people of Tigray elected as its regional leaders at a time when Abiy Ahmed abused the covid pandemic as an excuse to extend his unelected powers. The people of Tigray demonstrated and the government’s response was full blown genocide."

MY GRANDMA
A Wonderful Lady
An amazing Jazz Pianist with and a kind soul! She grew up in D.C where she met my Grandpa. My Grandpa was friends with her brother for the longest time and then, one day when he called my Grandmothers house, he didn't ask for her brother. Instead, he asked my Grandma on a date and when my Grandma's brother asked why she didn't give the phone to him all she said was "He didn't ask for you".
Always keep your heart open because you do not know when love will come.
